Abby Whitmore Johnson began her pilates training journey in June of 2016. Her journey as a movement researcher started much earlier as a dancer and mover. Since starting teaching reformer classes at Six Degrees in the spring of 2017, she has enjoyed excavating her own process of conveying movement ideas while getting to know the clients. She thinks Pilates has massive range and possible nuances. This past year has lead Abby to further uncover where her interest in teaching lies on that spectrum or web. Overall, she values bodily research through motion. Pilates reformer, jumpboard, and dance are the primary methods she uses to facilitate that research in others.
