Talk about “fitspiration”! Joan Growe has been a part of the studio’s community since the very beginning, having taken up Pilates after her retirement. She’d heard that it was a good workout and would be a whole-body transition from her previous love of running. Not only that, Pilates would complement her other activities, including tennis, skiing, and biking. She jokes, “It took two years to start enjoying Pilates!” Even so, she finds that the staff at the studio are always up for making adjustments to “accommodate aches and pains,” and she’s getting stronger all the time. So much so that she says she’s now “anxious to get in shape for barre.”
Joan says that keeping busy and meeting new people, along with general healthy living and the occasional indulgence of her sweet tooth, keep her positive attitude going, and she lights up the studio when she’s here. We’re so happy to highlight this inspiring member of our community.
