Refugee Ministry
The Refugee Ministry has many ways to help put our faith into action. It can be a long term commitment, just once a year, a family or Confirmation project or an hour of your time. One or more parishes can be helping the same refugee(s). Volunteers help ready the new living quarters in various ways: grocery shopping (a list and a gift card to pay for the groceries is provided); setting up the household (putting away dishes, hanging curtains, making beds, etc); or participating in a Parish drive (collecting new or slightly used bedding, blankets, dishes, cookware, small household appliances, toiletries, etc). Others may want to go to the airport to welcome or drive the new person or family to their new home.
